I began designing handbags on a dare. I saw a family friend stitch a simple tote bag and my designer brain took notice. I dared her that when she came back from vacation I would have a line of handbags! At that time I was happily running my Interior Decorating business and I had never even had a thought of designing handbags. I quickly fell in love and started making my own patterns and tinkering with custom handles. My line of Divine and Unique handbags rolled out in the Spring of 2008. I sold out quickly and have put out a line every spring since then.
